Curtin has made this environment available to industry and government through Innovation Central Perth which enables industry to trial and learn about new technologies in a non-operational environment.
This environment can reduce risk for companies undertaking the development of new products, services or processes. It provides a safe space or a sand-pit for ideation and proof of concept projects which can either succeed or fail without damage to company brand or reputation. Projects can also influence regulatory and policy changes especially if the projects are supported or completed in collaboration with Curtin’s researchers in the relevant discipline.
