To develop a system which allows for scientists and engineers to update PLC data though the cellular network, where the data can be processed and stored.

Approach

Obtained a programmable 4G router which allowed for the development of an application which could be customised to send and receive data. The data could then be processed and stored within the PLC.

Outcome

A successful system was developed – sending and receiving data through the cellular network.
