This project for CBH required the designated intern to summarise temperature and gas data from grain storages and visualise this information to allow users to recognise trends and derive meaning. The intern should also develop an alert system to notify responsible partiers when the threshold has been breached.

Approach

The summer intern used Power BI as the front-end visualisation platform to present the data from CBH sites and used an SQL server to record grain temperature and gas data. The intern created the alert system through an integration between Power BI, Azure SQL and Microsoft Power Automate which allowed for automated alerts. By using Azure cloud, the intern was able to ensure that all applications and data were safely backed up and able to be accessed from anywhere.

The intern was able to successfully visualise and present temperature and gas data from the grain storages on Power BI for the user to understand.

The system was successfully created, alerting responsible members when the threshold had been met.
