Level your creativity this February
Innovation Central Adelaide is kicking off 2026 with a high‑energy celebration of creativity, collaboration, and digital innovation. The ICA Game Jam brings students together for a three‑day, in‑person creative marathon where teams design, develop, and submit an original game demo.
Hosted at the ICA Pop‑Up Innovation Lab in collaboration with the Flinders Games Research Lab, participants will be given a theme to guide their game concept, but have full creative freedom to build something unique, expressive, and full of personality. The Game Jam brings together Creative Artists, Game Designers, and Programmers to tackle a themed challenge, work collaboratively under time pressure, and turn bold ideas into playable prototypes.
Whether you’re an experienced developer or completely new to game creation, this event offers a supportive environment where you can experiment, learn new skills, and most importantly, have fun.
Game demos will be showcased in the ICA Pop‑Up Innovation Lab during Orientation Week, giving prospective students the chance to admire your creativity and be inspired by future possibilities.
Designed to spark innovation and strengthen digital capability, the ICA Game Jam helps students grow their portfolio, connect with like‑minded creators, and experience the excitement of rapid, hands‑on game development.
